Stéphane Crémer - Programme
"The writing of Programme (poem) began in April 2018 in Fez and was completed in Brittany in October 2021, specifically for its publication as part of the *Pli selon pli* collection. Its layout, or ‘staging’, explores a contrapuntal style of writing, akin to a musical fugue: several ‘voices’ draw closer, intersect, overlap, question and answer one another, or ignore one another. “Windows” create gaps of silence, yet their “eloquence” can open up to yet more voices. — The poem takes its title from the fact that its clauses, conjugated in the infinitive, sound like injunctions. Injunctions that can also be heard as the optional figures of a “Free Programme”: of a “Poetic Art”? — Stéphane Crémer
