In Kyoto, buildings of wood, sheet metal, sandwich panels, raw concrete and bricks alternate. Some are tiled in green, blue, brown, pink or gray. Many are white. Buildings, houses, low walls and staircases are uniformly tiled and form a series, or rather a common built structure that reappears here and there in the city. SUPERKYOTO is a little book that takes stock of these tiled resurgences.
